We live in an era where technology is playing such a huge part of our society. And as we're now all shut indoors for the foreseeable future, most of us are getting bored very quickly. For this reason, our magazine has explored different options to virtually keep you entertained during the British lockdown, and here are some of them:

- Online pub quiz

If you just finished working from home, and everything you would fancy is a drink with your friends we got you sorted. There are several pubs across London hosting online pub quizzes.

“They usually go streaming in platforms such as Facebook, or Instagram, and in the end, the winner is getting prizes delivered to his door,” said Aldo De Luca, 20, Chinese studies student at Westminster University. Multiple pubs are moving their activities online, and apart from online quizzes, they host live music, virtual beer tastings, and comedies.

- Hinge dating app

For all the singles ready to mingle there is a new option for Hinge users during isolation. The relationship-oriented dating app has found the way to date from your room using the new option of video calling your perfect match.

- Virtual theatre

With the West End, and all other theatres closed during the lockdown every opera enthusiast might feel bored. Don’t worry, because you can still enjoy a multiple choice of shows to watch directly from the comfort of your couch at home.

Many theatres across London, such as the Royal Opera House, are displaying shows and operas, and they are doing it for free.

- Virtual club

There are lots of people waiting for the weekend just to go partying. Now that all London venues and clubs are shut down until further notice, there is still the possibility to enjoy a party without leaving your house. One example is the queer ‘Club Quarantine’ that organises Zoom raves and has already hosted artists the likes of Venus X, Charli XCX and Tinashe.

- Runtastic

You might not be able to show your summer body this year, but if you want to keep in shape despite the rough times we are going through the Runtastic app powered by Adidas is what you were looking for.

With this app, you can create your own workout, record the workout and review the statistics, and share your improvements with a global community. “I have been joining the 90- DAY FREE MEMBERSHIP, and now I can access all the training in the app, and build the perfect workout to fit my daily schedule,” said De Luca.

- Disney +

We all have gone through Netflix main page thousands of times, and have nothing else to watch during this lockdown. That’s why Disney+ has come to the rescue. You can upload their 7-Day Free Trial and then pay £5.99 a month to enjoy a wide range of programmes.

“I can enjoy a new selection of TV shows ranging from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic,” said Camilla Randaccio, 20, a waitress at Nando’s.
